About Me

Hi, I’m Lettie, the Bug Lady, an entomologist specializing in Urban Pest Management. Our company was originally Great Southern Environmental Services, founded by our dad. We renamed it Bug Lady to honor his legacy and to make it easier for all ages to remember. Plus, it’s the nickname he called me, and it just fits.

Bug Lady isn’t just about pest control; we also offer insect education for schools, co-ops, and community groups with engaging talks and hands-on learning experiences.

Alongside me is my brother, Sean, the Bug Brother, an Associate Certified Entomologist and the alter ego behind Carl the Roach (check out our social media). We’re both proud University of Florida grads. Go Gators! 🐊

We had our first experience with The Bug Lady today for a small birthday/family gathering. What an experience!! The Bug Lady and her Bug Brother showed up on time and ready to go! Our kids ages range from 3-5 and everyone had a great time! It was educational and fun. We were so sad when the show was over. The Bug Lady was so nice and full of information.
